Frank Lloyd Wright publizierte das Jacobs Haus als erstes 'Usonian home' im Architectural Forum von 1938.

"What would be really sensible in this matter of the modest dwelling for our time and place? This house for a young journalist, his wife, and small daughter is now under roof. Cost: Fifty-five hundred dollars including architect's fee of four hundred and fifty.[…]" (Frank Lloyd Wright)

John Sergeant notes: "The Usonian house, designed in 1934, quickly increased in price. It was extremely difficult to achieve a built cost of $5,500 for the Jacobs house in 1937, $7,000 for the Pope house and $8,500 for the Pew house in 1940. […]"

Entstehungsgeschichte:

• Diese Analyse von Broadacre City entstand im Mai 1999 im Rahmen meiner Diplomarbeit 16/3 und ging im Juni des selben Jahres [als "lineares" Sitesystem mit 17 HTML Seiten] online; zuerst bei pelziq.at - hosted by xarch.tu-graz.ac.at, gefolgt von  sdoutz.at 2003, und schließlich bei medienarchitektur.at 2005.
• Abgelöst wurde diese [über die Jahre im wesentlichen unveränderte] erste NetzFassung im Jänner 2007 durch die aktuelle Oberfläche von ARCHITEKTURTHEORIE.NET
• Im Mai 2007 fand eine englische Übersetzung ihren Weg ins Netz.
